Associate Professor Rathika Krishnasamy
BEAT-Calci Co-Platform Director & Australia Lead Investigator
A/Prof Rathika Krishnasamy is an Academic Clinical Nephrologist based at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Australia, and is an Associate Professor for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland. She is a Clinical Trialist at Australasian Kidney Trials Network (AKTN) and a recipient of The Queensland Advancing Clinical Research Fellowship. She has a strong research focus in the area of cardiovascular disease, haemodialysis and mineral and bone disorders. A/Prof Krishnasamy provides care for chronic kidney disease, dialysis and chronic transplant patients.
Associate Professor Janak de Zoysa

A/Prof Janak de Zoysa is a Nephrologist based at Waitematā District Health Board, Auckland, New Zealand. He is an Associate Professor for the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences at the University of Auckland. His areas of expertise include Nephrology, Vasculitis, and Medical Education.
Dr Smeeta Sinha
BEAT-Calci United Kingdom Lead Investigator
Dr Smeeta Sinha is a Consultant Nephrologist at Salford Royal Hospital, Northern Care Alliance and an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, United Kingdom. In early 2021, Dr Sinha was appointed as the Northern Care Alliance Research & Innovation Deputy Director. Dr Sinha’s research interests include chronic kidney disease-mineral bone disorder. She is a recognized international key opinion leader in the field of calciphylaxis and, despite the challenges of conducting research in the rare disease space, has supported the development of calciphylaxis clinical trials including Phase 1 -3 studies.
